I believe over/under is a 50/50 point that you either bet it's going to be higher or lower. Of course you're trying to get people to bet evenly so you can't lose. If you set it at a year I'm not sure what side I'd bet.

I'll state that by this time next year, there will be few restaurants in the flying j.

I look for a mix of the fast foods to appear.

I agree, I think by at most, in July 2010; you will see national chain fast food places in all Flying J's. The sit down buffet and off the menu restuarants will go away.

Now, do I agree with this? NO. Am I a happy camper with this? NO.

What I would like to see happen (the restuarants stay) and what will happen (the restuarants go) are two differnt things.

As a Plan B, I am going to be searching where I can find Golden Corrals, Old Country Buffets and Ryan's Steakhouses, etc. near to interstate highways and other areas where I would be traveling.

Sounds like you read "How to be a bookie for dummies".

I was a bookie but got tired of dealing with all of the lowlifes and gave it up to get back on the road... what the H%LL was I THINKING???

As far as the Pilot - Flying Hoopdy Doo debate goes, every time I pull into a Pilot I ask myself "Why did you do that to yourself again???" But apparently Pilot's business model works better than the J's......

I don't care HOW good it is for them, or if they put Subways in ALL the Hooks... But PLEASE, don't make the Pilots brew the Hooks coffee! It's got to be the worse tasting cr*p on the planet! We're supposed to get fuel at the Flying Js, but my partner and I always end up down the road or across the street at a Pilot or a Loves for the coffee...

A dirty pot that's been 'cooking' too long will do that to ANY coffee.
