UPS exemption request denied by FMCSA - Land Line

 

I know it's not much but you are getting unemployment while you wait, right?

 

Yeah, they're given me some change for unemployment, but it's not much.

 

@Riffraff37 every city of any size has temp employment driving agencies. (prodrivers, staffmark, etc). Daily work, need a CDL and the temp agency keeps your driver file and pays you so you don't have a 1000 employers. Be well worth looking into.

I have said that when I am done making money in a few years I will go back as an on road Sup. Since money will no longer be important I will be able to tell both labor and management exactly how I feel without worry of being fired.Years ago I had a really good on road sup on my yearly safety ride. He drove most of the time and we were in a sleeper truck with a long box. He ran up on the curb on the way back. I picked his clip board up and said I hate to do it, but I am going to have to write you up. We both got a good laugh. He was a very experienced driver and was one of my favorite sups because he was not out to get you but there to work with you.

 

It's probably coming. They are getting soft. They don't even run in the snow anymore, if it snows halfway bad they call the day off. Here in Florida they will late start due to rain lol

 

I remember being shut down on I-80 in Wyoming one night near the “Sisters”. I called dispatch and he said I am looking at the map and it looks like you can cross on a state Hwy. I said from my vantage point here in Wyoming it looks slightly different than yours in your 70 degree office in Ky. This truck won’t be crossing that mountain on a state Hwy and we will be sitting here until the interstate opens. He didn’t like it, but I never heard a word when we got back.
