I think my time is short. Tired of having to adapt and overcome while the industry that let's this happen constantly hires less and less capable driver's.
I have heard one of the side effects of ELDs is crapping in a plastic bag. Not even sure how that's possible. First time I find myself in that predicament I'm turning the keys in and walking away for sure.

I foresee BIG changes coming to the trucking industry in the near future with more autonomous vehicles and truck platooning... and more regulations and mandatory speed limiters in all trucks... :biggrin_2552:

Do you use Qualcomm...? I used it from 2010 till 2013 and it was MUCH easier and more user friendly than freakin Peoplenet....

For those cat lovers... this is... forgot her name but she is the new little "baby" of my deceased dad's wife...

    IMG-20191209-WA0021.jpg

She has been raised on a leash so she doesn't go everywhere and escape and do "damages" around in the house... I wouldn't do that.. if that were my cat... but I wouldn't have a cat either...
She is becoming a well behaved kitty....
The lady washes her once in a while... I asked her to send me a picture of her being washed.... will post next time...

Rocks, as far as Qualcomm goes it's not terribly different than what you where used to. Just counts everything to the second instead of 5 min increments. Nothing really new to learn as long as you can bend over far enough to touch your toes.
It costs me about 30 to 45 minutes a day of drive time. Sometimes more and sometimes less. Just as easy to use as it ever was....when it works. I don't have it figured, but probably costs me 3 hours off my 70.
Not a deal breaker if you like the work. Just aggravating to those who know the work.
Don't let the technology worry you. It's not that much different.

It is a piece of poop - compared to what the rest of my company is using.

It's not that hard to use, but if careful I can save an extra 30 minutes a day on my 70 using Platform Science. Platform Science is also easier to use, and the gui is a LOT better.

But overall my opinion on elogs has changed over the last almost 4 years of testing. At first I was gung ho about the eld mandate. Then I started using an elog, and the difference between an AOBR and and an ELD is HUGGGGGE. The amount of babysitting an eld requires is ridiculous. On the plus side I am getting more exercise as I am now encouraged to walk the 100 yards to the office as I can walk as fast as I can drive without tripping the eld.
