Wondering if a guy could pick it up for $20-$22K if it would be a decent buy for doing regional work. I know alot would depend on maintenance records, but in general, do you see any holes in the specs. Looks like I may have to buy myself a job/headache.
Sorry about the mondo sized pic, but it wouldn't link through Webshots. [Computer genius, I'm not]

Thanks for the edit job on the pic, Brickman. After I sent the post I figured Webshots out. I will try not to bother you again.....well.....unless you enjoy editing posts on a Sunday.
Brickman Thanks this. -
What do you plan on hauling? Van, flat?
-
Mostly van work. The company I would lease to does both, don't know if that would be a great flat puller with the short WB and tall peak or not.
-
No problem.
If you google IRFanview you'll come up with a free photo resizer. -
Looks good to me. I don't like stacks though. With those specs you should be around 1485rpm's@65mph.
-
Looks like a clean truck from that pic. I'd look over the records carefully and see what's been done to it, how often it was serviced. 495K isn't too many miles for an '03, if you can get it for under $25K, you might really have something there. If you ever go to pulling a flat, that air dam can always be taken off, stacks can always be shortened.

I came up with 1410 # 63 so I'd guess that's close. Hafta get the details tomorrow on the tranny.
You don't like stacks?? WTH kinda trucker are you???
heh heh heh....I could take'm or leave'm. I probably wouldn't spec them, but I'm kinda looking for bang for the buck and may have to put up with them.

I hope your not a tall man, very little leg room.
-
There's plenty of forward leg room, just not a lot of width. There is not an engine box in the floor, so that also helps to have room to spread your legs some.
These trucks are easy to work on, the parts are decent priced, and the cabs are solid.
The only thing you will probably have to do is re-bushing the rear suspension if it is an AG-100 or AG-200. This is easy and relatively cheap also. You can get oversize bushings to keep from having to replace any bars. 450-500k is about the life of the bushings.Big Duker and The Challenger Thank this.
