Does the new governor have a rubber plug on top of it? If it does remove the rubber cap loosen the nut and turn the slotted screw.I first remove all the air from the air tanks then adjust the 120psi setting. Do you have an air dyer on your truck? Check air line from the governor to the air tank to see if its plugged too!

Like the others say, the governor is bad or one of the small lines that lead to it is plugged. Its about 4" tall and 2" around and usually bolted to the compressor. Make sure you drain the air tanks and don't mess with a rebuilt one. A new one is only about $30 bucks

Make sure you did not switch the lines to the governor by mistake. The line that goes somewhat in the middle of the valve goes to the air dryer, and the line that is somewhat at the end of the valve will go to the first tank. The line to the tank must not be kinked, this is the line that senses system pressure and will trigger the governor to signal the compressor to stop pumping and dryer to purge.

thanks for all the advise, the air line that comes from the compressor to the air dryer, came loose under the truck,i put it back together, now the air dryer does not let it go past 120 but the compressos is still running and the air dryer releases air every 10 to 15 seconds, any sugestions on the next step. Thanks

Maybe try another governor. And if the governor is new does not neccesarily mean it is working properly. JMHO
