I forgot to mention, Stan's is 100% forced dispatch. So if you like that choice, Stan's might not be for you.

Anything else Mr. Negativity? You seem to be only one that doesn’t speak highly about Stan’s? Actually, it’s difficult if not impossible to find anything else but positive! You’re the only one. There’s always barber college for ya!

Whatever you say buddy. I mearly gave my experience with this company, not that Forced Dispatch is negative. I find Forced Dispatch better instead of competing with other drovers for loads. I stated it as something I have noticed more than a few drivers complaining about. Seems to me the only one being negative, is you.

    Pros:
    Plenty of driver amenities.
This includes company cars which are provided free of charge.
The owner owns a restaurant in which drivers are given a discount.
Clean bathing areas which are tended to almost every hour.
Grilling area also provided free of charge for drivers at the terminal who want to cook something nice.
Mostly nice people. With a few exveptions.
New model kenworths to owner op specs.
Trailers are never more than five years old.
Owner seems to genuinely care about his employees, but dispatch does not.

    Cons:
A few bad apples ruins the bunch.
    Pay every two weeks.
NOT otr. But they will broker a load to get you home.
They expect six straight weeks of driving before you can consider home time
Forced dispatch if that is not your thing.
They pick and choose who they pay layover or wait time to.
Dispatch team is small, but so is the fleet.
You may or may not make less or the same amount as larger companies like Swift.
    Benefits are only adequate.

They do not expect 6 weeks. The hometime policy is not set in stone like Swift or most other companies. I stay out longer because I don't need to be home, but we definitely have people that are home fairly often, some guys do 3 weeks out 1 week off, some do 4-5 weeks. It just all depends.

Good luck trying to take more than 4 days off with swift. They will demand that you turn the truck in. I spent 3 years there and wish I never did. Regardless I'm not here to bash them either.

Say what you want. Enjoy being babysat again. Good riddance.

Please elaborate “NOT otr” I see the equipment all over the 48. Seen a truck two days ago in Boston! How is this not OTR? Curious?

My experience was most loads were a big circle. Transporting supplies from jack links to jack links. These loads were limited to Iowa, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and one other place. I cant remember where. Jack Links was more like a dedicated run. However, do do have blue bunny too. Usually texas and california. I never experienced any east coast runs, but my guess is this was a broker load meant to get someone home. I did mention they did this and it was pretty cool too. Driving for them was more dedicated as i said before. Id like to point out people getting upset I am speaking my mind. I never said Stans was a terrible company. They have their ups and downs like any company. No company is perfect. My primary issue was a handful of drivers like Bob and Santiago were difficult to get along with. There were also some points where I was threatened with my job if I wouldn't do something i felt was unsafe like driving in a white out. Or violating the law by driving overgross. Mike Kopfmann was a nice and kind as of a boss as a man could ask for from what i saw. Though some of the people seemed to have a Cult about him which unnerved me. This is not me bashing Stans Inc. As show, i think there is a lot of positivity in this company as well.
