$3500 a week isn't unheard of...not "gross" anyway. Matter of fact, last week my Dads settlement said $5768.00.
You just have to know when to say no and when to say yes...and be consistent. But that is another story for another thread (What it takes to be a successful O/O) -
Come on frd... You run into folks like that regardless of what MB you might post on.
It's just the way it is.
But when you come off as calling people stupid for doing a job that they want to do (which IMO you have done)... it's gonna ruffle some feathers, especially when you go on to brag about how much you are making.
Trucking isn't for everyone. Some folks try it and decide it isn't for them. Others spend a lifetime doing it and enjoy it.
Life really isn't about how big one's paycheck is. There are other considerations.Last edited by a moderator: Aug 3, 2009

$3500 a week gross isn't much money for an O/O. Its enough to make a profit, but not really enough to live on.
$200 or so a day for fuel (at current prices) and alot of that $3500 is gone, have a flat...there went another $500 or so...and so on. -
In case you were wondering about my truck income, It's about $3500 to $4000 a week per truck! Gross! That's about a thousand a week for the driver.
That is at the present time with the rates as low as I've seen them in a long time! A year ago it was 1 1/2 to 2 times that! -
