Well I am sure this Pete will be much better. It was much cleaner and signs of been taken good care of by the previous owner. I am getting it from Arrow Truck Sales and the Sales Man was finding the little things to get fixed before I pick it up.

    WOW Have I been busyyyyyyyyyyy...

Last week I went 4000 miles and again this week knocking on the Door of 4000 miles.

So far I had only one problem with the Pete, Power steering problem. First time it only cost me 23.16 for repairs, Lucky me. Fluid line came lose and I could not see it unless I had someone turning the steering wheel.

Now I was on my way to North Carolina from Texas when it happen again. this time I found the problem prior to going into the shop. But it is due a service and I need to get the Clutch adjusted also. I lucked up when I was passing close to home I ran across a Company truck that was empty and dispatch allowed the swap and I was able to go home for the repairs and service.

My next goal is getting my own Authority and last month I was asked about hauling a product from Georgia to Chicago area by one of my deliveries.

Yes and I had to say Stop once while I was sick. But with some times saying no I gotten better deals. But the Company drivers are not so lucky. Even trainers are crying.

hey coastie - i appreciate your posting your experience on here, it is a tremendous help and inspiration for so many! I am planning my purchase right now and I am looking to most likely make the leap in the next 60 days...

That's a good look on the Pete! The payment on that Shaker # $1500 seemed awfully high for an '01 model with 1 million miles; I saw several of those models in TruckPaper and were priced much better but ultimately none of that matters because you now have your Pete....

    Keep us posted!
