I know that Peterbilt cabs and sleepers are made from aluminum but are Freightliner Cascadias also made from aluminum? Or does Daimler use steel?
Are FL Cascadias cabs made out of steel or aluminum?

In the frame rails they use steel. unless it is ordered with an aluminum frame.

Thanks for getting back to me but I wanted to know what material the cab and sleeper shell is made from. See the attached pic.

Not sure on Cascadia’s but our ‘99 FL60 is steel cab and our ‘03 M102 is aluminum cab.
Sure looks like stamped steel in that pick but the technology is out there now to stamp aluminum without taring holes through it.
Wouldn't hurt to call a Freightliner dealer and ask a salesman after Christmas of course. -
After Looking more closely and inlarging that pic and seeing all the rivets I’d vote aluminum.

My crazy idea is to stick 2 of these sleepers together and make a nice big sleeper but that's down the road. -

Kind of unnerving that the dealer doesn't know what the product they sell is made out of. But not surprising. Lol

The roof can some fiber type material if its a tall bunk or midroof?
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Take a look at how they have burned in the past. Aluminum will melt while steel takes a heat.
bzinger, D.Tibbitt and SmallPackage Thank this.
