Turn the RF gain up, if that doesn't help, the radio may need tuning, not all of them are right out of the box.
farmboync Thanks this. -
i took it to a local shop all the guy did was cut my modulator out and the RF gain is almost wide open

If your tech snipped anything in the radio don't ever use them again....all they did was make your radio sound like crap.
farmboync Thanks this. -
Man that is the first thing these hackers do and call it a tune. Take the radio back beat him over the head with it till you are to tired to hit him any more and tell him to put the modulator back and do it right or you will start to hit him again.
Yea I know you can't do that but it would make you feel a lot better.
A good tune would have been to turn the Modulation up to 100% adjust the receive & transmit & aligned the radio so it is dead on frequency. Did you see any scopes & meters? if not he can't do it anyway.
Go to C.B. tricks and you can get the info and do a lot of it yourself they give good info there. Even if you don't want to try it yourself at least you will know what to have done and you can make sure you get what you are paying for.farmboync Thanks this.
