What's it like being a driver their,what's the pay like?

 

I know they do a dock to driver program. I know five dudes that got their CDL there and love it

 

Pay is better than average, but it's physical work. Teamsters local 500. They will hire with no driving experience. You will have long days and it's frustrating at first. Once you learn your stops and the product, you will be fine.

 

Thanks how many hours a week do you usually work,I don't have my CDL yet but am planning to get it by next year and I've been looking into food service I really don't wanna do otr

 

Do u know if their hiring dockworkers?

 

I transferred to Sysco Virginia a few years ago, but when I worked in Philadelphia I was usually around 60 hours a week. If you don't mind starting in the warehouse as a night selector they will train you after 1 year to get your CDL.
