Those who insist on avoiding W2 work as O/O's have a stark choice, Shut down forever or move from California to another state and rebuild business OR redo the whole business as a W2 worker in California.

 

You don't have to "redo" the whole business, a simple forming of an LLC or corp and moving assets into it, even buying the name and authority from the O/O takes a couple weeks at most. Then become an employee, no more ab5.

Why do people make it sooooooo complicated?

 

Forming a corp doesn't work if the companies you worked with cut you off after jan 1. Some are taking a wait and see approach. Let someone else fight it in court. In the meantime I can work out of state. Yippee

My father asked me the exact question long ago when I was a child in state school.

"Why do You (Myself) insist on finding the hardest way to do something?"

I would answer using the math teacher as example. 2+2 is not 4 until you write out several lines formally with correct math format on a paper and pencil and write out explaining the theory of why 2+2 = 4 in about 20 minutes of labor bent over a desk instead of sprouting the number 4 as the answer.

All my childhood NO one, parent, teacher or adult was ever satisfied with VERY simple answers. They constantly demanded more. So I learned not to do a #### thing in life until I have all the angles covered where possible in advance. Makes me quite the plotter.

And you wonder why I am royally effed up in life. So I work very hard to get simple to a problem.

I understand today's common core education is even more damaging consuming more papers from our precious trees while our millenials are slaving to answer simple math problems in ways I don't understand. And I have tried. Its BS. A circus if you please.

And so it goes in our Legislatures around the USA at all levels. Common sense would eliminate half of the make work.
