i've been hired with 3 speeding ticket on my DMV. Of course this when the economy was in full swing.
i know that may not be of any help, but i think there are still jobs out there.

You have a good chance, Keep this in mind, smaller co's are looking at insurance cost. Log book or overweight fines means NOTHING! That is its not on your driving record. So, you can say you have 1 speeding ticket, and as for the accident, were you sighted, issued a fine? Most smaller co's are going to take your license number and give it to their insurance co's, they will run it and tell the co how much it will cost for ins. on you. This (amount of ins.) will determine weather they will hire you. I have 5 overweight tickets in last 2 months range from 12000 - 20000lbs overweight, 2 seatbelt tickets, (which are considered moving violations), I have full coverage ins. through progressive and I pay 287.00 a month. So if anything, the accident with the car is what will hurt. Oh and how fast were you going? Was it wreckless?

Most drivers have minor problems when they first start out. The problem is the way the economy is now recruiters can pick and choose a little more instead of taking the "meat in the seat" approach to hiring thats more common when the economy is cooking

The accident where I scratched the car fender - officers did not issue a ticket. I was caught off gaurd when I made a right turn off a business district. Turned into a one way residential street and I tried to get out without help. Rookie mistake. But costly. I'm very concerned whether I'll get another chance to drive again to prove I can perform well. Seems like such a bad time to be caught without a less than perfect record. But I am still trying to do so as of right now. Next week if nothing happens, I may have to wash dishes or clean toilets. The world is all about survival right now, or so it seems from my view. Protect your careers with all reasonable means. I wish you all well and drive safe.

I hope you find something soon, but in the meantime keep your head up, and check out smaller co's. I feel you would have alot better chance with a small co. Good luck

Smaller carriers that don't use DAC seem to be the only option now.

Come on now there is no reason to be mean.

Well, there is Swift. As long as your body temperature is above luke warm, they don't have much more in the way of necessary pre-requisites.
I mean, hey! They hired my ex-brother-in-law... that means they have to be desperate! -
Yea...but is Swift is not hiring right now
