Good day, my friend, numbers are numbers. It all depend on the amount the truck gross. Work with numbers. 27% of what amount. Is this greater than getting the 51 cents?.
code blue, Aamcotrans and easytopleez33 Thank this. -
Depends...
Forced dispatch and general freight? Mileage. No forced dispatch and high end freight? Percentage will pay twice as much or the same with half the miles driven. -
Yeah,To answer your question, you need to know value and Proven Billed freight (Invoices)
THEN,You can determine which is better. -
Are you an O/O or a company driver? Are they paying anything as a 1099?
-
It’d be company driver, no mechanical know how to get into O/O. Great point about % vs mileage, as far as I can tell % is the way to go with few exceptions. Proven Billed Freight is a new term to me, is this basically an average freight value? A figure TMC should be able to provide / guarantee?
So these are key questions- forced vs unforced dispatch, proven billed freight, and whether you can move up the % ladder as promised. -
Percentage had more room for dishonesty than mileage pay. The company can double broker the load, broker to themselves via different company names, which knocks down the rate of which you get a %, before paying you. 27% of a $2000 load is different from 27% of what is now an $800 load. Avdishonest company can collect $1200 and let you have $216 as your cut. Know who you are in business with.code blue Thanks this.

Hello all, I am just starting my research on percentage pay as a company just offered 30% for a staring rate which seems a bit high. I have always run mileage and I was able to match the numbers between the run and the paystub. How simple is it to get the Proven Billed Freight and who do you ask?
TIA -
Is the job a 1099 or a W2?
