At the current time I do drive a daycab, however I am not a shag driver, at least not according to Werner. I have made the same money when I was not driving a daycab as well. I think that would be normal dedicated runs. I have done both, I just prefer to be at home with my family more.
As for the account, you are right it does not matter and it is not that important to me either. I am sorry that what I get paid seems so unbelievable to you but it is what it is. I will say however that I work hard for what I make and I take what is given me even when I think it sucks.
I do not consider myself to be an advocate of Werner, but I am not here to bash them either. For right now it is where I work because it works for me at the present time. Whenever I post here be it good or bad I have no reason to post lies. I have nothing to gain from it so why bother. I also have no reason to disclose everything about myself either.

I bet i know what account you are on, just by where you live, but i won't say where for your privacy. If it is what account i think, i have talked to a few of there drivers and they all seem to be very happy and make good pay too. Heres a hint, tell me if iam right, you have to wear a orange vest in and out of your truck, or you could get in trouble from the guys who like to rat on there co-workers.

I do not have to wear a vest, but I have seen some vests showing up in the office in the past week or so. I am guessing I may have to wear one soon.

Would some of you Werner drivers help me here. My hubby should be done with training in about 2-3 weeks. He is teaming up with a friend. We are trying to figure out some things about what is allowed on the truck as far as a fridge and microwave. I have read on here that some of the drivers have these and a crockpot. Well his trainer told him he could Not do a microwave. Is that true? What are the APU for? I thought that it was used to plug things into as a source like outlets. I maybe far off but I havn't been in the truck. He told him that he could do a small fridge. We have an inverter that we used to use when traveling for my laptop. So the crockpot would be possible using that. Could he use that for the microwave? I quess I just want to know in detail how do you drivers have it all set up for your truck?

You need a 1200-1500 watt inverter for a microwave, and those have to be hard wired into the truck, and Werner will not allow this for company trucks. The small ones that plug into the cigarette lighters can be used, i think. Best thing to do is read the company handbook when he gets home to know all the rules. I have a microwave and 1800 watt inverter, but i drive for a o/o.The Challenger Thanks this.

In the 3 trucks I drove that had an apu they all had an inverter with the apu. I had a microwave in each of them. Not sure the wattage of the inverter but I never had a problem running anything with it. However the inverter only worked when the apu was running, they tell me this depends on the type of apu, some guys say theirs works all the time but mine did not.

The inverter in the trucks with APU's is 1800 watts i believe...my truck has no APU..so no Nuker for me...hopefulply next truck will have APU...current truck has just over 400K miles...

My truck has an apu(Tripac). I run a microwave and a tv. They both work with the truck on or off. If your hubbys truck doesn't have an apu he will be sol on the microwave.
