No doubt, all these "above the radar" trucking companies are ratcheting up on who they should hire, people with no experience are the ones they will hire off the bat, but the ones that they do not take a look at are the ones who have 3+ years of experience under there belts. This really sickens me! I thought that these "above the radar" companies wanted "EXPERIENCED" drivers, not rookies driving there trucks, WTF?!

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I'm confused. I don't understand how these companies will take on a student that needs training, yet I have previous experience and am willing to redo training with a mentor in a truck and they won't even give me a chance.
I have tried these companies so far and been turned down by all of them.. Crete, Hiner Transport, JB Hunt, Transport America, CRST, Gordon and Magnum Express.
Any suggestions? -
Thats crazy.
These big companies just want disposable drivers.
...Like fast food resturant employees on 18 wheels. Welcome to McWerner's, may I take your freight please? -
The latter is pretty hilarious
, its a shame that companies want disposable drivers after 3 months employment, it may be why they constantly keep hiring new drivers.

I did have an interview with a small company today and he seemed interested in me. Thats an improvement. He sent my info to his insurance company which shouldnt be a problem. I' ve had no violations what so ever in 4 years now so hopefully they give me the ok. Sounds like I pretty much had the job as long as they gave me the ok. Trying not to get my hopes up to high cause who knows 10 or more other drivers might have walked in after me that he liked more. Got my fingers crossed waiting it out since he said it would prolly be the end of next week before he would know any thing for sure.

Too bad y'all are not local to me. My husband works for a guy who still has the attitude of "the more experience the better"! He doesn't have the greatest pay, but he is a good guy, once you get used to him and he is honest. Truth is, I actually like him.

Have you tried Baylor, I think there in the Milan In area maybe lawrenceburg area. I know seymor isn't to far from me I'm in Northern Ky but it has been a while. Also there is a company in carrolton Ky LJ kennedy, It's on HWY US 42 they are otr and need drivers. Also there is a small maybe 50 give or take trucks otr company up the road from me in florence ky they need drivers. One other place up the road from me needs otr drivers and actually pays decent from what I have heard, good home time decent trucks, only down fall you have to unload your load. Let me know If I can be of any help if your interested it's not much but something. -
