Btw, I just ran 2 separate loads for the same broker this past week in my dry van. A total of roughly 850 miles.
They require tracking...
They paid me a total of $3,700.00. That's $4.35 a mile contract. I was paid within 2 days through their payment portal after the delivery of each load, with no charge on the pay. Hard to pass up and hard to complain about tracking.
Let them track your truck?

I do not ever allow any broker's to track me. When I book a shipment with a broker, I will email "loaded" when I'm loaded. I'll call the receiver to do 2 things, check to see if it's the correct address and instructions for delivery and to let them know about what time I'll be there within 2 hours of delivery.
Once there I send broker "delivered".
And another thing, not often but if I have room to fit addentional freight I will do it if it doesn't effect my delivery time.
Broker's do not own my truck or drive it.
Besides if the freight is not 40 feet long and 40k the broker will try to price it low enough for a Ford pick-up truck to haul.
There famous saying "what KIND of trailer do you have".brianv31 Thanks this. -

It's amazing how that tiny bit of effort puts you better than 95% of your competition in the agents eye.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -

I don't mind being tracked. I dont see it as an invasion to my privacy. It isn't like they are going through all personal stuff in my phone, at least to my knowledge. At least you multiple records like in and out times, as a previous member posted. I think it's easier. I do like CarrierLink. You can also send messages to.the broker letting them know of delays. Might as well come from the prehistoric times and get used to it. People want to make sure shipments go to the right spot. I wonder if those drivers who complain about being tracked, track their orders from Amazon and such?
