I know a safety critter that works in the USA Truck "palace" in Van Buren. I am of the understanding USA truck is getting close to another MAJOR house cleaning much like what happened several years ago when Clif Beckham was run off as President. I have not looked at their CSA data, but I heard it is really bad. So bad in fact they have been warned their PREPASS devices will be turned off. They are getting tighter on this. Less than 6 months with a fired? Right now I imagine they will take a pass.
How do I move past a dirty DAC report?

Well I am seeing a trend. That being you keep hitting stuff and it's not your fault.
You are not having trouble finding a job for the wrecks, but for not admitting your mistakes and learning from them.
Your first thought after hitting something should be "How could I have prevented that?".
You seem to have the attitude of "How can I make this not my fault.".
Using weasel statements like "There is no proof." are huge red flags to any hiring manager.Gabe2790, Hatt91, brian991219 and 2 others Thank this. -

I wish I had a spotlight at the time, but getting out and looking would have meant leaving the truck on an active two-lane (one lane in each direction) road. I don't know if there's anything I could have done different honestly.
The Dollar General accounts are bad, phone numbers for reference to call the locations you deliver to are almost always bogus, like 85-90% of the time they are junk/invalid numbers. Admittedly I didn't check the layout of the store on google maps, though that would not have revealed a cable, it might have revealed that I had a back end of the story to drive up to instead of the front end. At night I couldn't see past the end of the parking lot, it looked like a sheer drop off.
Guess all I can say is, what would you have done as a newer driver? It's easy enough to say in hindsight with more experience, but as a new driver, in my place what would you have done? -

Edit: This clearing also applies to make sure you have enough room to back in and not run off the pavement into a ditch etc. It also means a quick look to make sure there is nothing that can damage underneath the truck or damage a tire or wheel.dptrucker, brian991219 and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -

The reason I am commenting is if you get another job dont use the phone didnt work as an excuse. Google the number and call it. Or tell yoir dispatch you are not going in unless you have truck route directions. I did that a time and or two.
With the low hanging wire you may or may not of seen it, there is no way for us to know. If it is a high traffic area the wire would have been high enough.
How fast were you going. If you hit it you should have heard it unless you were flying or had music up or not paying attention. If I am in a new area I am moving slow. That way if I hit a wire I can hear it. Stop and then figure out next move.
The heck with traffic, put on your 4 ways. If they call the cops you are just being safe.
Good luck driver.feldsforever, lovesthedrive and RickS331 Thank this. -

I wouldn't be worried about DAC/Hirerite, Werner use's driver IQ. You have to submit to them.
lovesthedrive and ZVar Thank this.
