If you wanna stay with tankers cryo is the way to go without a doubt. This is from a driver who's hauled alot in the tanker industry. From oil, chem, fuel, and now cryo. It's the easiest, cleanest, and non back breaking work there is. Try to stick with the private fleets if you can. They offer steady work, better pay, benefits etc.

Did you work for a major?? I got to enjoy two years on 76's private fleet before it went down hill.

I worked for Beneto who was bought by The Kenan Advantage Group who named it K.A.G. West. It went down hill from there.

If hes going to stay in Tooele hes going to be very limited on Cryo.Theres Praxair in garfield that been hiring the entire 15 years that I've been driver. Airgas has 2 branches in slc, mainly welding gases. Air products has a facility in Bountiful. But neither are going to touch you with you being out of the truck that long.
L.W. Miller 'May' train you. When I first started I know there were some guys that had trainers, but I dont know if they came in as experienced or inexperienced drivers.
Theres a crapload of driver jobs there though. You shouldnt have any issue finding work again. You may not be able to be very choosy, but there should be work out there for you

As long as it's not the stuff you have to wear a moon suit while loading/unloading.
