It is super cool for backing with the remote. When i was pulling my blade trailer, I could steer that from the drivers seat when I was empty but it is hard to try not to fight the trailer.

 

Oh it counter steers ? Nice

 

I'm confused, is the steering automatic with a remote override or strictly remote control? I thought I heard some of the fancier (blade) trailers had some kind of sensors on the 5th wheel plate so they know when you're turning.

 

I am not a jealous person. But before o bit with joy. How do I start my journey down this path. Sorry may already be covered in this thread. But I. Couldn't read anything. I opened it up. Seen that first picture. And just been picture hunting since.

 

It has a sensor wedge that fits into the fifth wheel behind the kingpin. The steering is automatic with a manual option. So in tight spots you can whip out the remote and get the deed done. (If my truck was out of the shop. I'd have a GoPro to get a video)

 

Got this skid loaded today. It's 80600 pounds and my empty weight is 78500 with a third tank of fuel. 15.3 wide and about the same tall. It took two of us three hours to build the trailer.

 

How far is it going?

 

Houston to just Glen Easton WV. It'll be a easy trip once we get through Arkansas.
