Just took a trip to get a soda and got $20 from a $1 scratch off. I had not won money in a couple years off one so i guess my luck is changing.

    Brick,

Congrats on fleet and I hope it works out.

    Widow,

I hope things work out with the 09 Volvo. They are electrical system needs to be redesigned.

volvos are accustomed to electrical. i remember driving a 2000 volvo, when i was still a newbie. coming down a mountain at 3 a.m. lost jake and headlites.

does that mean i finally have a chance at OTR again, jess?

prolly has something to do with the fact that congress came out this morning and said the recession is over.

Nope, have a guy by the name of Ralph now. It had nothing to do with her, I would suggest Lisa to anyone that is looking for a new FM. If this isn't working out I'm going right back to her fleet.

I e-mailed Rick Johnson this morning to ask about getting me set up for training the second week of September. He e-mailed back that their policy won't allow me to try again. The first time in April my blood pressure was high and again in June it was 2 points over. The doctor said I could try again in 60 days with a doctor note and prescription for medication. I waited my 60 days and now they are saying "no go". When I e-mailed Rick in June to reschedule for September he never said one word about the two strike policy. Had I known that before, I would have just went with someone else like I'm going to have to do now. My friend has already been on the road since May and has been waiting for me. Kinda makes me mad that the recruiters aren't in the loop. Rick told me in April that we could train on the same truck with the same trainer as a team. That same day when I asked Ron Johnson he said no, there isn't enough room in the trucks to train a team together. Rick told me that we were guaranteed a job after training and there are always plenty of trucks. Of course, I found out that no you are not guaranteed a job because you trained there and passed, and the wait for trucks is a week sometimes and of course the miles aren't the 3000+ as stated.
I'm just disappointed and I guess I expect a company to have it's stuff together when it is recruiting and giving out information for people who want a career and not just a paycheck.
I guess I'll go with Swift since they seem to have less complaints than England or Knight. Their pay is only 25 cents per mile, and the rest of what the Recruiter told me 2500-3200 miles a week to start should be totally ignored at this point. I doubt that is true; and he stated that 25 CPM is an excellent starting rate for a student driver. I don't know..................I might be having some nightmares for awhile over this.
