    I've always just put them on the stove with water and a little Dawn soap and let them boil. Then season them again.

    To season I cook sliced onions till they ate burnt. Keep stirring them. Then cook up bacon in them. Alot of people just oil them and put them in the oven. Use coconut oil to season them. It had one of the highest burn points.

    10- 4 they are moldy. I'll wash them up first then try some of that. She even found a soup kettle to hang over fire. I'll use that in my fire pit.

    You can scrub them with a tater and sea salt too


    Or any kind of salt I supposed

    I have used both methods over the years
    If they are badly pitted after cleaning you may be able to save them by machine sanding
