I have a friend here where I live in Williston, North Dakota who has asked me to do him a hot shot favor, here’s the job.
Bobtail from Williston to Seattle Washington ( 1060 miles ) pickup a trailer with a 45,000 load and drive it back ( 1060 miles )
Permits to drive in those 2 states will be about $120.
He is willing to give me his fuel card and pay me $3500. Being that I’ve always been an hourly driver I’m not sure how to take this rate?
Opinions ?
OTR first pickup ( not what I do, judge this rate )

What's your fuel burn for 2100 miles? Hotel? etc. Looks like a 4 day run.
-
2120 miles. Hes paying fuel? If so it's goo . If not I'd charge 4200 min.
Lite bug Thanks this. -
My truck runs about 3.8-5MPG ( yeah yeah, it’s not a highway truck )

so 580 gallons at 3.00 desiel give or take 20 worse case scenario. Thats 1800.
If the good ol boy pays that much for the fuel card without you worrying about it then 3500 is ok. Otherwise ask for 4500. -
You could pad that by taking a power only load out to Washington
