    This broker just quoted 1300.00 on 1141 miles and the other two brokers quoted 1600.00 for the same run.

    I am not taking any of these runs period. But someone will.

    They own ZERO TRUCKS but seem to need the money more than I do.

    By the way CHR posting this out for 1300.00 also.

    So I will find out who this shipper is and contact them with this information and ask them why should Fetch and CHR get 300.00 over and above the rate provided by two other brokers.

    How should anyone even come close to making a living let alone pay for expenses with this fiscal behavior?

    Property preservation companies do this too.

    The bank will pay $900 for a yob. The middle man offers it at $655 PLUS takes 25% off of that and passes it down the line.

    it's capitalism 101, if you don't have the knowedge and ability to get the freight directly then your going to pay someone to do it for you.

    and the reason those agencies are less is most likely because they are double brokering it from the first agency so you have two middle men sticking there hands into the pot. it's less likely they are the first broker and are just keeping more.

    They are probably billing the shipper $2000 - $2200 or more.

    if your willing to pay it then he isn't sticking it to you. If people wouldn't haul it they wouldn't do it. It's the glory of our fabulous free market system
