i'm guessing without the per diem. your pay would drop to .21cpm. correct???

    i'm wondering if it's a tax write-off for central.

i don't recall getting per diem. i don't think it was even offered but i worked for a very small company. 7 trucks total. but if memory serves. my tax lady took $25 per day i was out. that was when i first trucked.

last week i had a great gravy run deadhead to sc, sc to columbia mo. deadhead to springfield mo caves. the to chicago. then to champaign then up to woodtodk ill. then back to atl. good run but now the water leak is back and the 5th still will not unlock and slide so i guess all good things come to an end. looks like more time sitting at home waiting on centrals ( pep boys ) mechanics to fix what they should have fixed last week.

Another question for you guys, what is Central's rider policy? Do they allow friends or just spouses?

The last time I had a rider with me the rule was anybody over 12 years old could come along. There is no extra charge, but you have to tell them so they can make sure the rider is covered on the insurance in case there's an accident.

Remember, I was a company driver, so the L/Os might have different rules.

Is it a one-time fee of $126 for the entire year and you just inform them when you are taking on a rider and dropping them off?

Does he not like it because there aren't enough miles? The reason I'm asking is because I'm out of Seattle.

As a solo driver its sucks! 770 miles from Stockton CA -Tacoma WA, on E-logs you cant do it in one day and even worse 55mph states and then take in your Pick up and delivery times and you are flat getting your 2200 miles a week........As a team its worse because all apps are set for solo drivers!

Its a one time yearly Fee.
