When Ricky Nelson died, he was on his way to perform at the Crazy Horse in Santa Ana, CA... It is a small venue (<200 seats) that country artists loved to perform at because it gave them the freedom to do a great show without the major arena production... but that is off topic... just a curiosity question for now....

There is a copany called stage call. I was talking to some of those guys at the TA in downtown Nashville. They were pulling for Maranda Lambert.

And also there is a company called upstage too. Now if you really want to run the road try driving for one of those NHRA teams. Talked to a driver once and he explained. That ppl think it's a dream job to drive for nascar or what ever race team. But not only would you drive the truck. You will help load and unload. And possibly help out in the pits at times. He said it's good money but your on the road 9.5 mmonths.

Also I can't remember the name but there is a touring company in ATL that you can drive buses for the stars. The name escapes me though

Stage Call has o/o and company drivers.
We have company drivers that have been here going on 30 years and o/o's since 1983.
That should tell you something about the company, to have company and o/o's work here that long.
I've been leased onto Stage Call 7 years and in all honesty can say they are the best people i have worked for in my 39 year driving career.

I drove one of those fancy black trucks like in the picture. It was used for Garth Brooks tours. It had just been turned back in to either Penske or Ryder; don't remember. Nice truck and ran 75 mph or better. Fancy coffee cup holders installed. The reefer company I drove for leased it for awhile. I told the dispatcher that reefer trailer had never been that fast before. He said I should keep the speed down to company policy, just as if it were a company truck. Yeah, I'm a real gungho company man, I'll do that.
