got an 08 c15 converted to single turbo ,just had an in frame done to it, and air compressor rebuilt, and it still blows tons of oil out of the tube, and i have tons of oil in my air system plus the inlet fitting on the air compressor keeps pulling the threads out of the compressor, thanks

They have an upgrade for the compressor hose that replaces the steel tube & hose with a braided line to fix the pulling threads out of compressor issue.

Hi I'm new here and just looking around a bit and noticed this thread about the air compressor leaking oil funny thing is I have the exact same year truck converter over to a single turbo and I can not get it to stop leaking oil out the dryer

    it's a 2008 peterbilt 389 c15 cat

And here's what I have done so far

    Changer air compressor 3 times

Changed the air intake from the main air intake before the turbo to just a filter right on the compressor figured maybe it was starving for air and that didn't make a bit of difference

Switched the air compressor intake to pressure side of the engine intake and still the same lots of oil coming out the dryer and when the wind was blowing just right it would cover the side of the truck in oil so I ended up putting a hose over the dryer exhaust and routed it under the truck

So if you ever get it figured out let me know

Swap the air compressor back to a bendix. I can post the cat procedure if you want it. The cat air compressors on the SDP's are junk.

I have a Cat compressor on the 1998 3406E, it leaks all over.

    Bendix is better.

Inside valve cover where blow by tube starts remove that cover and you will find steel mesh to catch oil and few holes so oil drips down in side. If its too much oil replace the cover ,cats solution to seperate crank case fumes and engine oil.
