Ok. That’s what I get for skimming. Lol.
Then I would be looking at what RPM he’s at and if he’s at the proper RPM to be running the blower where it needs to be. Next would be where is he putting his proportioning valve. We haul rock salt and some of our hospital loads are the cubes of softener salt. Those can be tricky at first, you have to use your proportioning valve to hold tank pressure because your hopper has to be full open to keep the product moving.
Other than that I’m out of ideas since it’s happening with multiple trailers.

This thread is a good one. A puzzle to solve and someone solved it nicely using the famous Funnel Story. That really cleared it up. And pick up a few new things to chew on like your RPMs etc.Just passing by Thanks this. -
I have no idea what my blower ratio is but I run mine at 950rpm to unload.
Suspect Zero and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I cannot imagine blowing at 950 into a bulk tanker.
It's almost like trying to unload leprechauns or something really fragile. =) -
It depends on the product and the place. I go to places where I run at 900 and places where I run at 1300.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Must be a hell of a frame blower back there these days.
One time my mack was sick and failed to run at 2600, RPM's wound down below 1800 and the blower started having trouble. We got it back above 2100 and finished the unload off the third pot fortunately but it took a extra 20 minutes parasitic tank air. Once empty it was possible to get her back to yard. They never explained to me what happened under that hood. They never did which did not help me be a better driver with that company over time. Not in those days. You were considered disposable. -
Trust me, we are all still disposable. Also, I have no idea what ratio my blower runs at compared to the engine. I have asked but when you ask the shop something it is generally like having a politician answer the question, and while I've spent the last 20 months learning as much as I can about different products and ways to unload and whatnot I don't know jack about the PTO and blower itself.
Also, I forgot to mention in my previous post... to the OP, sorry, but I have no idea what the hell is up with the problem you are having, wish I did, but if ever get it figured out please post because it's a brain bender for sure.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Grab a funnel as a poster said, any old funnel.
Throw some rocks into it.
You will find rocks do not want out. Shake it maybe get a few. While thats going on you are losing tank air all the day between the rocks. -
If they WANTED rocks, whistle up a bucket trailer. DUMP. Done in 1 minute. None of that tanker stuff.
Dave1837 Thanks this. -
