Would be nice if I worked for Central, but since I don't, oh well. At least I got a reset out of it.

As far as I know they aren't hiring students unless they go through there school!

They are hiring experienced drivers but only as Lease Ops.

Hey guys, I've been searching this thread for wherever I read how the training pay works, but I can't find it now, and I'm not up to re-reading all 447 pages to find it. My wife requested that I do an accurate planning budget beforehand. Worrywart...

I think, but I'm not positive:

    Week 1 CDL class: $0
    Week 2 CDL class: $0
    Week 2.5 CDL class: $0
Week 3 waiting for trainer: $0

    Week 1 training: $425
    Week 2 training: $425
    Week 3 training: $500
    Week 4 training: $500
    Week waiting for Truck: $0

    Company solo: $0.29/mile.

Is that about it for newbie CDL trainees, or did I get it wrong?

    thanks!

I'm sorry that caused you to lose your next load.

Its kind of funny you posted that because my VERY VERY first live loaded trailer for Central was potatoes. The reciever came up to my cab and took a pocket knife and sliced one in half. It looked like every other potato I had ever seen. He said, "You can see why I can't accept these."

To this day, I still don't know what he was talking about.

So, the CDL training part is about 2 weeks and "waiting for a trainer" time, at $0 pay, and no advances, right? Or do I understand you to say the $450 pay starts immediately? Sorry to be a pain in the neck, but the spreadsheet and my wife demand specificity. LOL

I could call a recruiter, but I want to get this done before the end of the month. ; )

You are correct you don't recieve any pay until you get with a trainer. Then the $425 weeks and $500 the last 2 weeks starts. When you are done with the trainer and do your upgrade to your own truck you recieve a $100 upgrade bonus. That doesn't come until you have the keys to your truck in hand. Hope that helps.

    JahB Thanks this.

They have put the first two weeks training pay up to $450.00 a week.(used to be $425.00)

There won't be a wait on a trainer as there are more trainers then there are students.

Geeze but I wish i had a mind like a steel trap instead of a steel sieve!!! Who was the confuser guru that posted awhile back? Or anyone else who might be able to answer this question. You need to remember tho, that I am a complete doofus when it comes to these confusers.

How in the heck do I turn off the automatic windows updates and update only when I want it to? I seem to go to so many areas that AT&T hasn't got around to updating yet and these updates just eat up my bandwith and slooooooooow things down!!!! If anyone can answer this, please send me a PM cause its DRIVING up the wall and over the edge. Thankee very much.

Am currently in Tuscaloosa, Al and will be going to my next pickup in the morning. YEA!!!! Its the load taking me home!!!!!!!!!!
