A bobtail is a Commercial Motor Vehicle

Take that thing into the #### coop and be quick about it. Don't be blowing them.

    Be at peace, Grasshopper.
It's not the end of the world.

    Relax... and proceed.

That's thing about those places that are "Photo enforced".

You just have some 'splainin to do when the pic shows up with the date and time on it. Especially when safety calls you.

Yeah.. waited a few days extra for a shipped in replacement instead of the one they had on hand.
    EXACT same piece.
    $9k vs $3k plus labor.

Replacement part same part # just with a coded "P" at the end to designate it's sold to a MVP/High sales customer.
    RIDICULOUS.

I asked them to use the part on hand, and put the new part in inventory when it arrived on Mon morn. Save me 2.5 days... but they wouldn't go for it.

    But, it's done.

So are you working for an MVP company or is that just a deal you worked with them?

I just did the Cummins version for my truck. That part was $1800.

We pay cash for all our units.
We probably only buy 15-20 per year, on average, but to the local dealer.... that's MVP.
Especially considering they know they get all the repair work on ALL of our tractors (outside of service/PM) because we take care of them and keep them for approx 10 years.

It's crazy that there's that type of pricing discrepancy.
A single truck OO would have gotten the shaft... just bc they could.
