Recently purchased a gps unit Garmin drive 52 for use with local routes. It uses GPX files but it’s missing features I can’t find. Like tracks and the ability to use custom routes from basecamp.
Not sure if this unit supports what I want but I’ve tried everything to route gpx route I saved with trackme.
Which units are drivers using for route delivery’s?
So I can put a gpx file on my Garmin but they are split into thousands of parts. And I can only use trip planner to find the parts and set it up. From what I’ve heard you can set it up so the gps only follows the given gpx path and that’s what I want. Advice.
Advice on GPS that uses GPX files. What are you guys using. I have a Garmin drive 52

That's a "car" gps, you need to be very careful with that. Garmin offers the DEZL line of gps's for truck routing.
Good luck.tscottme, lovesthedrive and PE_T Thank this. -
Used a laptop with an aircard and pretripped the destination. With a grease pencil, wrote the directions on the windshield. GPS will mess you up, when DOT sees that you have the wrong GPS they will penalize your hide.
