I've never used miles to gauge engine life. Way too many variables. 350,000 miles on an engine that idles 10 hours a day doesn't equal 350,000 miles on an engine that idles 30 minutes a day or even an engine that pulls hard thru the mountains most of its life where it runs a lower average speed.

My very first truck was an ex-Pense lease truck. I bought it at auction in 2001 for $28k
It was a 1999 FLD120 and unbeknownst to me, it had a brand new crate engine in it. I drove the truck for 7 years without any major mechanical problems.
Like any used truck, do your homework and due diligence with your inspection before purchase. I’d suggest taking the truck to a local shop and having them go over it and also getting all the trucks repair history from Penske. -
Might have been running a pto for unloading.
