You are supposed to turn those in to your company. Didn’t uncle LEO tell you?
PE_T Thanks this. -
Uncle LEO was kind of vague.
-
If it was for equipment, then it has to be signed by the company saying repairs were done.

The inspection will show up on the SMS website after a period of time. Seems like each state is different about how long it takes them to post inspections. Pa took 5months, Nc 3 weeks, Co a couple days.
Shortride Thanks this. -
What is the sms website
-
Safety Measurement System - Overview (U.S. DOT# 3706) This is prime on the sms. You can see all inspections and what violations if any.

I just found the site. I am having a hard time making sense of it. Am I to understand that my company doesnt actually get a direct copy of the driver/vehicle examination report, but that they can see warnings and violations issued to their drivers by checking the site periodically?
-
Yes. You can see each inspection by clicking on inspection history after selecting whatever the violation falls under. Hos,vehicle maintenance, drugs, etc.

By law when you get an inspection report, you have to turn it in to your company. Then the company has to sign it as compliant and has x days to send it back to the issuing agency. If they contact your company wanting to know why they did not return the from that you didn't turn in you are going to be up that creek with no paddle.roshea and brian991219 Thank this.
