It was in the news last night. The CDC estimates between 14,000-36,000 deaths as of Feb 8. Preliminary In-Season 2019-2020 Flu Burden Estimates

Burden of Influenza

Up to 61k deaths annually since 2010. The flu is no joke, its freaking brutal. Most people that say they had or have the flu and suffered through it or missed 1 day of work don't know what they are talking about. They had a cold. Actual influenza will put you down for over a week. I caught ir once about 15 years ago. Lost over 15 lbs, 2 full days in the hospital getting fluids, and bed ridden for two weeks.

 

I get my flu shots at Walmart Pharmacy; the pharmacist calls me a couple times before it's due to remind me.
