Yep. The greed of the driver to not pay for what he stole (reserve parking fee) and then when told to move assaulted the guard.

Yes assaulting the guard is speculation, but speculation by the fact the guard isn't in jail.

 

Greed of truck stops charging for parking in the first place and dumb drivers who actually pay it and allow them to charge for it is asinine. They get enough money off of us drivers and our companies in the first place. Either way no need to kill anyone over a freaking parking space regardless.

 

And he didn't get killed over a parking space. He got killed for assaulting the guard, or at the very least the guard felt threatened. Maybe if he wanted to live, he should have
1. Not stolen and
2. Not make the guard fear for his life when confronted with the theft.

Also, since it's so unfair, you must be annoyed with how much money they are making. Why not open your own truck stop since it's such easy money.....

Take a picture of the truck parking in the spot and send the bill for it to the company he drives for with an explanation of the driver not paying and what the driver said or did in response. Use some common sense. Maybe the guy was out of hours and couldn't move. The guard and truck stop should have used common sense. As a security guard he should have walked away and deescalated the confrontation and called the real police if it was that bad. Common sense. Do you really think killing a driver over a parking spot is legit?

 

You keep saying the shooting was over a parking space. It was not. The shooting was because the guard felt threatened.
And yes, if the driver is so stupid as to steal from someone, then escalated it I don't feel sorry for him. Maybe he should have either not escalated it, or not stolen. This is 100% on the driver being an aggressive bully and nothing more.

And who said the guard was given the opportunity to de-escalate? We know two facts.
1. The driver got shot.
2. The guard isn't in jail.

Both those together tells me the guard did the correct thing for the situation. Bringing in what started it is pointless as it doesn't matter. What matters is why the guard pulled the trigger, and I'm guessing we will never know that.

 

I bet if those guards had body cameras, we’d see less stupid decisions from both parties.

 

Yep. Apparently the only witnesses are the 2 involved. Probably why everything is happening slowly with the police. The only story out there is the guards. Apparently his word is gospel to some.

 

You don’t know what happened, anymore than anyone else does, or probably will ever know. Stupid Rent a Cop wannabe, was obviously in over his head. Had a Job He wasn’t properly trained for. Shot the Driver in the chest. Kill zone shot. I hope he does some time, for that fact alone. He deserves it. See how tough he is in Prison. Bunch of undertrained Idiots with Guns walking around. Shooting people, because they think they can.Because they’re not Professionals. Some People shouldn’t have certain Jobs, if they can’t handle themselves responsibly.
