Maybe forgetting to set the brakes and a dog hitting the shifter, knocking it in to gear?

That happened in L.A. in 2003. The train rolled all the way at up to 70 mph for 30 miles from Montclair until Union Pacific derailed it in the hood in Commerce.

Just a hunch. The owner op didnt adjust his brakes much. The brakes werent able to hold and it rolled onto him.

Back in the min 70's I had a boss man run himself over. He released all the brakes, crawled under it to adj the breaks. Slight incline, he was under it, rolled onto his foot and broke a bone.

I know a guy personally that ran him self over... He had parked one night... The next day started the truck and sat in it until it built air. He was ready to go so he releases the brakes but bedore he moved he realized he had forgot something in the house. So he jumped out amd started to walk to the house. The truck began rolling and as he was trying to get in to set the brakes he slipped I. The running boards and fell in front of the drives. It crushed his one leg pretty good, but he survived. Luckly the truck wasnt loaded. He was back driving in 3 weeks, still in a cast and on a crutch.

I've seen a few times trucks roll when guys jump out without pulling the button(s)...

One took out about 100 feet of fencing before the trailer ended up jackknifing, and the other just took out the grille of the truck behind them.

And this was on fairly level ground...

Happens more often than you think. You have to be nimble and in shape though, if you want to risk jumping back into a moving truck in an attempt to dynamite... If you can't support your total body weight with only one hand/arm, let the #### thing roll.
