This may be a silly question but I'll ask it anyway. I just looked up "chargeable accident" and they are listed as requiring a tow away from the scene. The trailer didn't need a tow away from the scene. It just needed to be lifted out of that ditch and it drove just fine. Is that just as serious as if it were towed away?
Thanks but looking into them they may be OTR and I'd prefer to be home nightly at this point. I really don't like sleeping in the truck but if need be I may give them a call to ask about Regional. -
If Mr Tow has to come out it's serious.
Its what? a thousand for him to crank up Captain Hook to come get you? -
I have no idea. I just know he must love that ditch because all the customers could not stop talking about how they need to fix it, put some sort of warning up or something because drivers keep getting stuck and the ditch keeps getting deeper as the drivers struggle to get out of it.Last edited: Feb 15, 2020

First mistake is Werner
Very very bad company
Everything is your fault and there saftey department gets there jollies when bad things happen to good drivers.
GTFO there quick !!!!!! -
NO! Not the same. You are confusing a "chargeable accident" with a "recordable accident" not the same. Your accident/incident is what is called a preventable. Just because a tow truck is called out does not make it "recordable" and even if it did all it means is the carrier must add an entry to their accident register. When you have your sit down with safety (and at some point you will) the safety critter will give you all the facts and what happens next!

What happened with Dot Transportation?Merilin Thanks this.

Never got to call. I was always with the trainer and knew better than to try and get a call about another job with him standing there or sitting next to me in the truck.

In White County where i am there is a smaller town of Beebe, they had a ditch at a intersection which was a problem for them.
One day a fire truck, about a 750,000 dollar engine and 60,000 pounds give or take wanted up this road. Here comes a car. So engine moved over.
THUMP fell over into the ditch about 4 feet down 10 wide next to the pavement.
They recovered the engine and paved cement bridge over half the ditch so that the next time engine wants up that street with cars coming, it will accomodate it. Then they marked the heck out of it.
Thats one way to solve a problem. But it costs money. Many property owners like Dollar Trees etc are really stingy in money spending. So the ditch stays.Merilin Thanks this. -
Any chance the name was John! Mine was a terrible trainer, I learned nothing at all!! Plus he tried yelling at me and #### and I told him you take that with your daughters I am not them don’t ####ing try that ever again. After that it was downhill.
