I was wondering if someone could tell me about the wyoming port of entry(s) and what to expect. I havent been North of Cheyenne before and Im headed to Lovell, so just looking for any info on that and other weigh stations as well if there is anything I should know.
All I know is there is a real hotty named Dan who works at one of the Oregon weigh stations........He was really nice to me.
I haven't had any problems with them. I spent an hour in the one on I-80 talking to them before waiting for my company to ok a permit. Not really any different than any other weight station out there.
WY is unlike many other chicken houses where you just roll the scale and they tell you to go or come in. At all of the big ports you have to go in with your registration and IFTA. Some of the smaller ports it doesn't seem like they are as picky with this requirement and will give you a green light to go.... some times.
I haven't been through there since 2000, but the guys were decent. I had one that decided to have a bit of fun at my expense since it was my first time in that state. I just dished it back, and we had a good chuckle! It was all good natured. Just make sure your ducks are in a row, you'll be fine.
I appreciate the helpful advice. I was just curious since there is so many to go through but my weight scaled out alright and got current cab card and BOL's. Thanks for the advice.
So its official ? no one tells me anything......when did Wyoming become a state ? Never been there in a big rig but the people are nice and many are armed.........
