Not bad so with the 60 cent a mile situation are you still being payed by the load? What was fun about it for you? What was your hometime like...
Yea just came from that I'm looking into a different field of trucking
I wouldn't say it's good but then again I don't have much experience so I figure I gotta take what I can get for a bit...
True
Makes alot of sense...
I figure dry bulk isn't backing alot so would i probably wouldn't be a shoe in at a local dry van company after that, am I right in assuming that?
Yea they don't have refrigerators so the money on the road thing might be something to think about too
Could you give me an example of the pay for an average load?
Very true on the tax thing...
Have you heard the same from drivers at similar companies on the hometime for regional? What do you think of a dry bulk job thats cents per mile...
My other question is, will dry van companies look the regional dry bulk job as experience since it's not backing intensive like dry van?
Thats pretty good sounds about like the rent here. I have a one bedroom and pay about 585 in a nice complex.
Overtime makes all the difference with the hourly situation and they claim they have plenty
Good question on the miles, I just emailed my contact to see...
Hey can anyone chime in with regional dry bulk experiences (SE or anywhere)? Hometime? Pro's Con's?
Not sure what cost of living is like there but my brother lives in north va and his rent is almost double mine to give you an idea
Do you see the miles at the pay I described passing the hourly pay w/ overtime included?
It's pretty cheap to live in VA where are you out of?
Good enough. Thanks alot X1
ah ok. Don't mind working hard or being outside at all so yea I'm interested.
