Can the wrong cam gear backlash cause a fuel knock?

I do it myself most of the time. But just followed what I thought
I had it done somewhere a few times but I’ve done it myself all the time now. I just now found out they had grease fittings.
I always got them DOT tight when I did it lol.
Do they have grease fittings on here

My buddy said it could be my throw out bearing. Are there grease fittings on this.

No there isn’t. I was surprised too. Unless the guy took it off there isn’t one.
I get up to the motor and it sounds fine.
So I just un-bolt the bracket and lift it up to tighten.
2004 western star 4900 c15 just has a bolt that is used to tighten it but that broke.
I don’t have one on this.
What could it be?
