Should have been done several years ago.

This should prevent a carrier from "forcing" or coercing a driver to violate the HOS.

    I'm with you, brother!

I look at it, as, "who the hell do they think they are, telling me I can only work so many hours"!

The industry, is full of a bunch of cry babies, anymore.

I guess the dot had better hire a lot of black box repairmen,I have a feeling the boxes won't hold up to the rigors of the road. You all know how hard an o/o can be on equiptment.

Having been pushed to work out of hours (it was work, or find another job with little or no experience), I say "It about danged time!!" I got no problem with working, and running my 70 hours. Heck, I could leave my house on Sunday, and be flat out of hours by Wednesday night, Thursday. But I'm sick and tired of hearing from my dispatcher "Hey, can you do me a favor?" just because he doesn't want to give the load to a driver who refused to run over HOS. And when I refuse, I get to sit in BFE until some other dispatcher takes pity on me!:biggrin_25516:
