We had one pass through our front yard within yards of our house... and yep -- it makes the whole house shake! Took out power and phone lines, too. Our guy remained upright, got himself back on the road, stopped about a half mile away to toss the utility wires from his rig, and kept on going. The van traveling behind him got his numbers, reported him to the trucking company, and the cops picked him up at the turnpike.

The company for which he drove was more upset than we were. We were just grateful he remained upright. Had he laid the rig over, he would have taken out the front of our house. :biggrin_2556:

A driver making a delivery to a produce warehouse, got out of his truck. Thing is, he didn't set the brake. The truck rolled across the parking lot, across the street and hit a mobile home. The poor old lady in the mobile home was in the shower at the time.
The truck driver ran to his truck, backed up, and hauled butt. Thank goodness for the fire department next door to the produce warehouse. Some of the guys were outside playing basketball, and witnessed the whole thing. They got the information off the truck and trailer, and called the police. They also helped the poor old lady out of her trailer, which got knocked off it's blocks. It's a good thing they were right there, because her gas line was busted and they were able to shut it off.
