Hi my first post, i have a 2014 Kw t660 my Cab ac blower stop works and y decided fixed by myself, based on my experience (not much on “newer” trucks) I go check fuses and relays still good but I replace the fuse anyway. Then I unplugged the fan harness and I got power and ground so I supuse that I need a new blower (my first mistake) I expend $414.00, when I replaced the problem still, my surprise on that kind of blower they come with a resistor so there ir a third wire on the plug, so I check the wire and nothing coming from before plugged but when is plugged the third wire come on power so I put a straight ground on it and the blower comes on but just for 2 seconds and then shut off, so my conclusion was that I need a lower ground that doesn’t come from the controllers so y decided buy the controllers (second mistake) spend $730.00 and when I replaced the problem still. Now I try almost everything. So I was thinking that I has a lost ground or power before the controllers because nothing comes out for the wire that goes from the controller trough the blower motor. Please anybody can help me!? Thank you God bless you.

HVAC door actuators are common to short and the doors are plastic and two of them are prone to break. There are 5 total and they are all the same part. This is one of those times to pay the diag fee in the shop as computer hook up is required to pinpoint the issue. When a door position fails or actuator fault is active the blower cuts off.

Unfortunately you replace the 2 most expensive parts first that really dont fail that often.

    Thank you,
Thank you. When I started works on the problem I came across that one of those door actuators was unplugged . so I started unplugged all. but I think just locate 4. do you think it is possible that by disconnecting the all 5 the blower can work?

I've never tried it. Disconnecting the actuator also keeps a fault logged because its unplugged and cant control the door. Theres a date code on them, year/ day. 365/15 and older had issues internally. Its recommended to replace all 5. The 5th one is up top of the glove box facing the driver and is for the recirc door.
