Yes that’s true but from what he is saying he eliminated that possibility. So what else could he do next. The filter if he hasn’t changed it would be the first.
Yes I did see more than a few people putting plain water into their def tanks. I just laughed.

A friend bought a new Kenworth and had it up in Manitoba in winter. He didn’t order it with a dpf tank heater and it froze solid. Had to have towed back to Winnipeg and they replaced the tank as it cracked, the pump, the line. Cost him almost 12000.
KB3MMX and Justrucking2 Thank this. -

try to replace both def filters also remove def doser and check if there is build up int he flex bellows between scr and dpf, this would be the first step before any kind of serious money is dropped in emission system.
KB3MMX, Trucker2211 and Rob100100 Thank this. -
Good idea. You mean the filler neck filter and the def pump/tank filter?
-
yes but there is one more in the supply line to the pump

Any ways I think I should drain and clean the def tank on this volvo d13 put new def pump filter ,nozle screener and inline filter. But I couldn't find any info how to and what to clean dpf tanks with hot water ? Then rines and repeat a few times may be .truck was sitting in California those hot summers and as I learnt def fuel not spouse to be stored for even couple of months let alone 2 yers .
Any insight help or advice would be appreciated thank you .
