If memory serves me, years ago Virginia was known for letting you run over with the drive tires if they caught you with it….

Some Canadian drivers told me they use 'fish finders' which fools police detectors.
Maybe some Canadian drivers will verify this.
The fish finder scans in front of the truck if mounted correctly, not down like in a boat.

I have a driver who got caught with a radar detector, he got a ticket, the unit was taken and went to court - lost. Had to pay a heafty fine of $1000.

No good reason for a radar detector.

Manitoba has Radar Detector Detectors in the RMCP cars. Not legal in US either in a commerical vehicle, but since the speed limits increased, should not need them. Ca will usually allow 60 or 62 if you do not tailgate or switch lanes frequently.

When I was 18 I had a Mustang GT and added a radar blocker on it. It saved my butt plenty of times but it cost a lot back then. It also worked on lasers. Sure they have better systems now that would work. If I was a speeding man I would look into them and put one on the truck.
