We got stuck in Nashville the other day. Nothing moving. A $200 local move pops up. Decided to do it while waiting on a real load. Anyway, long story short my driver ended up hand carrying 6 boxes, ONE door down and delivering. Like, WOW people.

It's safe to write you don't want the Govt. involved with regulating anything.
Besides, anyone can request from the Broker FULL DISCLOSURE and see for themselves the $$paid by the shipper to the broker.
Brokers, just like O/O's AND everyone else, want to make as much money as possible, PERIOD!

Again, again and AGAIN!! Caveat emptor. The O/O has the responsibility to do the due diligence in running his/her business.

A genuine, real-time, real-world fully legal PRIVATE CORPORATION,
Where 100% of the stock of said corp. is held by the
U.S. Government, i.e., The U.S. Citizens, Taxpayers.(We, The People).......... US!!, you and me...
A Corporation, now 49 years old (estb. 1971) ...............
A Corporation that has NEVER made a profit, or paid a dividend.......but gets a yearly injection of taxpayer millions to keep on running.
Right now Amtrak is running its entire fleet of Long Distant Trains with 2, ...3 times more staff than paying passengers......
But,.. in all fairness and honesty, Amtrak has cut back the number of East Coast Regional Trains and the entire Acela Fleet. Wow, brilliant!!

NUF SAID! You DO NOT want the govt sticking its nose up you hiney!!! and mandating anything, period.
