    They're a fashion statement. I see guys wearing these, an old cowboy hat, and a full length leather duster coat. They think they're like Mel Gibson in Road Warrior.

    Mine are not fingerless but I’ll leave my gloves on when backing. My skin sticks to the rubber coating. If I palm the steering wheel a lot I have a black smear staining my palm and start getting a nasty looking callous
