I had a shorthood back then also. But now I have 15” less wheelbase and about 6ft less trailer.

I think they do it for the privacy

Depending on when they leave, it's harder to back out than it would have been to back in I would guess

Am I the only one who sleeps good at the truck stops? Eyemask and earplus and I'm gtg

Lazy drivers taking a shortcut to parking. They routinely block other drivers into/out of other parking spots, but why would a lzy driver care about that. Besides, unless you can speak whatever language they speak you cannot even explain it to them. It's just another symptom of filling trucks with 4-wheel drivers.

yeah man. I usually shut down by 2 PM and I always choose my spots based on if I can be blocked in or not. If they can block me in, I move to another space. I'm out of the truck walking around doing geometry sometimes, planning my escape.

I dont know. If I'm on a restart, I nose in if I have no chance of anyone parking behind me. This being to keep me away from most of the piss and APUs and air dryers purging every 30 seconds, or squeaky belts.

But inevitably, if either one of the trucks on either side move, then the next truck will nose in and idle to 1700 rpm with the engine fan on
