@Russian Rabbit works for UPS Freight. I don't know how much information he has on teams, but he's well established over there.

I just found some posts for team openings but the closest thing to us is in Louisville KY and Tuscaloosa AL. I’d be looking for something closer to Nashville.

You can literally see lights from each terminal from each terminal. 594B7737-F74A-4D37-A777-3CBEF23576F3.jpeg

It really is a shame what FedEx Ground has done with their business model. They actually pay really good money, but by offering those lanes to contractors, the people who are subcontracted to run the trucks are extremely underpaid and always in a hurry. If they would just do business the right way, that driver could be making a nice six-figure income working directly for FedEx.

I guess that is Whites Creek? I haven’t heard of them doing teams there but you can never tell what the future holds.

If you are seeing brown sleeper trucks they are freight not parcel. Still a good job, but different job.

The entire independent contractor model isn’t a bad thing if the wealth is shared. I do agree that the people actually doing the work at Fred Ex ground are often getting short sighted compared to UPS employees. Independent Contractors if done correctly is a very good business model to supplement company employees. We had some former Fed Ex ground drivers get hired at UPS and they said there was no comparison.

All they would have to do to make it a good business model is say that anyone who buys one of their lanes has to drive the truck. These businessmen buying multiple lanes and not even driving are ruining what could otherwise be a good opportunity.

Yes, we have both single axle and tandem volvo sleeper teams. Also a few liners.

Minimum $1500 gross for 4 day work week. Can make more $$$ if you run more.

    You got any shorties?
