Have been blowing the fuse labled ee21. This has happened twice in the last two weeks. Wondering what the fuse protects. Have done simple checking for bare wires. Put in a new fuse and will start up. When fuse is blown it will crank but not start. Assuming somehow connects to ecm but cannot find anyone to tell me for sure.

What is the location of the fuse?

Looking at the schematic ee is part of the electronic engine (ee) cab harness.
Looking at one schematic if it's a red wire and a 5 amp fuse it goes through the ignition switch to the ECM power (ECM Switched Power).
That makes sense as that's the only thing I can think of electronically that will shut the engine down. Check your ECM for moisture contamination and that you have a clean chassis ground. A corroded ground will cause power surges. The ignition switch can have a short. Other than that you'll probably need a shop.

That wire should originate in the battery box, and on a Pete it usually rubs on the edge of the hole on the back of the battery box where it goes through to the ECM. Usually if you wiggle that bundle of wires while the truck is running you can create enough of a short to shut the motor off.
